Red Dragon Tracker is an open-source intelligence (OSINT) dashboard that aggregates and visualises publicly available data about China's military posture, geopolitical activity, economic indicators, and human rights situation. It is built for researchers, journalists, policy professionals, and informed citizens.
It has no government affiliation, does not use classified information, and makes no claim to represent official intelligence assessments. Every data point is traceable to a named public source.
All news content is fetched from RSS feeds of established media organisations. China-specific feeds are used in full; general world news feeds are filtered to articles containing relevant keywords (China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Xi Jinping, Xinjiang, etc.). Articles are deduplicated and sorted by publication time.
Military order-of-battle data, base locations, weapons systems, and force structure estimates are drawn from open-source analyses by recognised research organisations and declassified government documents.
China operates the world's most extensive internet censorship system, commonly known as the "Great Firewall." The following organisations publish ongoing, peer-reviewed research on China's censorship apparatus, surveillance technology exports, and press freedom.
Red Dragon Tracker is an independent OSINT project. It is not affiliated with any government, intelligence agency, political party, or advocacy organisation. Data is presented for informational purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes investment advice, legal advice, or an official threat assessment.
Simulated visualisations (cyberattack animations, military exercise patterns) are illustrative of documented patterns — they are not live operational data. ADS-B aircraft data excludes transponder-off flights. Tension scores reflect news volume, not classified intelligence.
